Try to slow down the aging process.

There is no way we can stop the passage of time, but there are things we can do to defer it from coming too soon. We certainly don't like to see those fine lines and wrinkles creeping onto our faces too quickly.

We all have hectic schedules and never seem to have time to get enough sleep.

7-8 hours of sleep is always recommended, but it could be hard for busy people. If you can only get 5-6 hours, it is better if you can get some deep sleep between 11:00 pm and 2:00am, when the skin renew itself by building new cells most actively, while you sleep.

Make sure to drink plenty of filtered or purified water daily. As a general rule, drink at least one-half your body weight in ounces per day. If you weigh 140 lb., then drink at least 70 oz. of water a day to improve circulation and accelerate cell growth.

Alcohol, tobacco and caffeine can cause skin to lose moisture and form wrinkle sooner, avoid drinking and smoking will help defer aging.

Watch what you eat because what goes in shows on the skin. Food containing fiber like vegetables, fruit and whole grains help keep digestion and elimination consistent, which is crucial to the health and the beauty of the skin, as well as your over all well being.

Some medication can make skin more sensitive.

Exercise regularly help circulation and speed blood flow to the surface of the skin.

Of all the different factors that affect your health, your emotional condition is responsible for as much as 50% of all diseases; it takes a big toll on your health and eventually shows on your skin such as break out. So it is important to manage your stress, find a reason to laugh because laughter is the cure for most illnesses.

Sun is the most damaging of all environmental factors to your skin. Frequent or prolong exposure to the sun accelerates the aging procedure, causes skin cancer and develops wrinkles. Avoid sun exposure especially between 10:00am and 2:00pm, when UR ray is the fiercest. Use a facial moisturizer with sun screen, even on cloudy or rainy days.

Wear sunscreen or sun block on other parts of the body that are exposed to sun as well. Wear a big brim hat, sunglasses to protect against squint-lines around the eyes. At night, adopt an effective anti-aging skincare routine that is right for your skin type. It's always easier to prevent a wrinkle than repair a wrinkle. Someone once said: "If you want to always look like a 25 year old, then take care of your skin when you are 25 year old".

Wind, rain, high or low humidity are other elements that affect your skin. Super dry, cold winter weather robs your skin of essential moisture, especially on lips and hands, which have no oil glands, while hot summer weather can make your skin feel oily, but your skin could still be dry. Nourish your skin with a good moisturizer to fight humidity. Water in our body reaches the skin last; be sure to drink plenty of clean, fresh water help keep skin rejuvenated.

Ever heard the term "you are what you eat"? What and how you eat plays a major role in your skin's health. Watch your diet, it should include 5-9 servings of fruit and vegetable, the use of vitamins and other supplements, avoid alcohol, caffeine, fried and processed foods and not smoking. Your choices affect how natural hormone shift, which affect your skin, mood, energy level and overall wellness.

There are toxin, industrial pollutants every where.

Windborne dust, dirt and smog can clog pores and irritate your skin. Use an air purifier in your home, office to counteract toxins released from carpets, industrial paint, cleaning products, and also filter out germs from recycled air, pet dander, odor from cooking smoke. Install a water purifier to filter out harmful contaminants in your drinking and cooking water, because what goes in your meal goes in your body, and some of the bad stuff tend to stay there.

Free radicals are forming in your body every second; it is trigger internally and externally through the normal metabolism of fat, carbohydrates and protein, especially fried, processed foods, smoking, UV exposure, fatigue, toxin chemicals... Fight free radical damage by sticking to a healthy diet and take antioxidant dietary supplements such as vitamin A, vitamin C and vitamin E, they are good for your immune health and skin health. Choose skin care products which contain topical antioxidant ingredients to boost your skin's defenses against sun damage and pollution.

Healthy skin is from a healthy body. Without a healthy body, outer beauty is only temporary.

With a healthy body, topical products are better absorbed. For elegant skin today, tomorrow and in years to come, take good care of yourself, from inside out.
