Coconut oil is one of the world’s most healthy superfoods and is by far the most nutritional all-purpose cooking oil.

Coconut oil is also known as coconut butter a tropical oil with many applications. It is extracted from copra.

Coconut oil is cholesterol and trans fat-free, and is rich in medium-chain good fats. Unlike other oils, Affinity’s Coconut Oil is pure white and has a pleasant tropical aroma.

Coconut oil is a fat consisting of about 90% saturated fat. The oil contains predominantly medium chain triglycerides, with roughly 92% saturated fatty acids, 6% monounsaturated fatty acids, and 2% polyunsaturated fatty acids.

Virgin coconut oil is derived from fresh coconuts rather than dried, as in copra.

Coconut oil is commonly used in cooking, especially when frying, and is excellent as a skin moisturizer and softener.

Coconut oil has also been tested for use as a feedstock for biodiesel to be used as a diesel engine fuel.
