Webcam watching can be a lot of fun, and a great time passing hobby. Viewing live cams can take you live to places all over the world that you may never get to see or visit in person, especially if you have health or mobility problems that may prevent you from travelling to far away places.

Using the Internet and streaming webcam viewing technology you can watch animals live on cams from some of the worlds top zoos plus some of the smaller zoos and wild life parks, see rides at Disneyland on cam, or view the sun rise and set over the great pyramids of Egypt, all in real time online.

The live webcams below show places, people, and animals from all over the world and include Loch Ness monster watching cams, panda, lion and gorilla cams, and robotic interactive webcams that you control via the Internet from your home computer.

Animal Cams

Pandas on Webcam - The panda cams provide a window into the world of the Smithsonian National Zoo's giant pandas, three-year-old Tai Shan, his mother, Mei Xiang, and his father, Tian Tian. If you see two pandas together on the cam, you're watching Mei and Tian.

You can also see Two adult tigers and their three cubs live at the National Zoo on Tiger cam. The Zoo is home to many primates. Amazon River Cam - A glimpse into the rich and vibrant underwater life of the Amazon via webcam. When the large, serpent-like arapaimas swim past the camera, you will get a close-up look at one of the largest freshwater fish in the world. The ones you can see here range from five to six feet in length, but may reach up to ten feet and weigh 300 pounds. Red-tailed catfish, black pacus, and other fish share this 27,000-gallon aquarium below a living tropical forest.

Beluga Cam - Catch a peek into the Arctic Canada habitat at the Vancouver Aquarium via streaming web cam and see Qila and her new calf. You can also view Milo on the Live Sea Otter Cam. Milo is a male sea otter, born in Portugal's Lisbon Aquarium, August 14, 1999. He’s one of the sea otters featured in the popular YouTube video.

Lobster Cam - A small video camera is enclosed in an underwater housing, attached to the end of a regulation lobster trap. The signal travels over a 50' cable to the dock, where a video capture server gets the image and it is ftp'd to midcoast.com. The Lobster Cam server has a dedicated link to the Midcoast Internet Solutions servers via a wireless ethernet Alvarion radio.

Mew Gulls and Glaucous-winged Gulls are frequent loungers but check the flocks carefully because birders have reported Heermann's, Bonaparte's, Ring-billed, California and even Western Gulls from this site.
