The volunteers at CONTACT Cape-Atlantic offer free daily phone calls to say hello and check that all is well.
CONTACT volunteers are eager to help the disabled, elderly, and isolated citizens of Atlantic County and Cape May Counties who want to continue living independently.
Loneliness is something most people never even consider. However, it can be devastating to anyone housebound or feeling isolated. CONTACT Cape-Atlantic offers a telephone reassurance program for anyone who is alone or feeling lonely.
Clients receive a daily call at the same time every day. Trained volunteers provide a friendly hello and check to make sure there are no emergencies. The volunteers are caring and committed to relieving isolation and loneliness.

CONTACT Cape-Atlantic was established in 1973.
It began with a mission to establish the provision of confidential crisis intervention through active listening, information and referral services, available by telephone in Atlantic and Cape May counties. It is a non-profit, community service agency serving the elderly and disabled population in Atlantic and Cape May counties. CONTACT Cape-Atlantic is a part of the national organization, CONTACT USA (CUSA).
