From Disabled World Trillian all in One Instant Messenger By Disabled World
The Trillian all in one IM program was originally created by Cerulean Studios and released July 1, 2000 as a freeware IRC client. Today Trillian Astra lets you log in to multiple instant messaging systems that include: * MSN now Windows Live Messenger * Novell GroupWise Messenger * Bonjour * Jabber * IRC (Internet Relay Chat) simultaneously with one interface. To communicate with other users on these IMs it's necessary to have accounts with the appropriate ones. If you already have accounts your member id can be entered during Trillian set up and all your current existing contacts from your other Instant messaging programs will be imported into your Trillian's address book. Connection to any, or all, of your messaging services is done automatically as soon as you run Trillian. Trillian Astra supports all the standard Instant Messaging features like audio voice chat, file transfers, group chats, chat rooms, buddy icons, SMS support, global status changes, contact alerts, and privacy settings. Trillian can be skinned (customized) and comes with an easy to use modern looking interface. Additional features include Mail and Message Alerts, file transfers, EmotiSounds and more. Emotiblips are the video equivalent of a chat emoticon. During video sessions, the user may stream a song or video to the other user in real time. One can send MP3s, WAVs, WMVs, and MPGs with this feature. QuickTime MOV files as Emotiblips are not currently supported. There are two versions of Trillian Astra, Free and Pro, the pro version currently sells for US$25.
