Statistics: Florida Disability
- There are an estimated 2,675,000 people in Florida who have a form of disability, or 16.5% of the population over the age of five.
- Approximately 491,000 people, or 3% of the population, experience difficulties with performing activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, or moving around inside of their homes.
- There are around 1,487,000 people in the state of Florida who have a form of work disability, and 477,000 people with disabilities in the state are employed.
- Around 73,000 people with disabilities in Florida are unemployed, and 2,499,000 Floridians with disabilities are currently not in the workforce.
