Disability Statistics Newfoundland and Labrador - Life expectancy among women in Newfoundland and Labrador between 2005 and 2007 was 81 years, while for men it was 76 years. In 2008, men and women in the province lost 9.8 days of work due to illness or disability. The year 2009 found 178,715 males in Newfoundland and Labrador with a regular doctor, while 208,480 females did. The same year also found 35,210 males experiencing a form of arthritis in the province, and 59,974 women experiencing the disability.
