Patient Centered Medical Home Program - Lt. Governor Brown

Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown joined primary care providers at the last of seven meetings facilitated by the Maryland Health Care Commission aimed to educated providers about the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) pilot that Maryland will launch in January. Brown has participated in several of the meetings, helping to build interest in the Patient Centered Medical Home Pilot.

Get With The Guidelines Stroke Program

The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®–Stroke successfully measured the quality of stroke prevention and care in a nationwide stroke registry in Taiwan and identified important areas for improvement. Get With The Guidelines®–Stroke quality improvement program, modified to accommodate diverse cultures, could be applied in other countries to assess and improve quality of stroke care and outcomes.

Barriers and Abuse for Women with Disabilities in Uganda

The Provincial Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health at CHEO (the Centre) applauds the provincial government's recommendations in "Navigating the Journey to Wellness: The Comprehensive Mental Health and Addictions Action Plan for Ontarians." One in five Ontario children and youth suffer from a mental illness or disorder. Half of all lifetime cases of mental illness start by age 14 years and 75 per cent by age 24 years.
