Walk to Change Lives of Children and Adults with Disabilities - Long Island

Long Islanders Walk to Change the Lives of Children and Adults with Disabilities or Special Needs! Easter Seals New York supporters join together to make a difference for those with special needs.

Local supporters, sponsors and Easter Seals New York participants are slated to come together for Easter Seals New York's 6th Annual Walk With Me Long Island at Jones Beach-Field 5 on Saturday, September 25th. The 5K Family Fun Walk/Run will raise funds for Easter Seals New York programs in Long Island. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. followed with the start of the walk at 11:30 a.m.

This exciting day will include a scrimmage by The New York Warriors, the Easter Seals New York's quadriplegic rugby team. Other entertainment will include music, food, prize wheels, crafts and more.

"I am proud to join Easter Seals New York for their 6th annual Walk With Me Long Island. The organization does exceptional work to help people with disabilities or special needs," Says Craig Erlich, Chairman of the Long Island Regional Board.

Walk With Me is Easter Seals' signature fundraising event, and is sponsored by National Premier Sponsor, CVS Caremark; National Presenting Sponsor, Amway Global; and National Founding Sponsor, Century 21. CVS, Amway Global, Century 21 and their associates who generously assist Easter Seals New York through diligent fundraising and support will also walk on Saturday.

"The Walk is chance to meet Easter Seals New York participants," says John W. McGrath, Senior Vice President of Organizational Development for Easter Seals New York. "We are excited see all our friends and supporters come out to walk and to watch the New York Warriors' incredible athleticism and spirit as they scrimmage."
