Jobs, Business, and Education Event for Veterans Coming to Philadelphia on July 22 - Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles, will be the site of a free Opportunity Expo for military veterans and military spouses on Thursday, July 22.

Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles, will be the site of a free Opportunity Expo for military veterans and military spouses on Thursday, July 22. The producer of the event, Cincinnati-based RecruitMilitary, LLC, is inviting men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, veterans who already have civilian work experience, members of the National Guard and reserves, and their spouses. The job seekers will interview with corporate employers, law-enforcement agencies and other government employers, franchisors, educational institutions, veterans service agencies, and veterans associations. The Expo will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the West Club.

RecruitMilitary expects more than 35 organizations to attend. Already scheduled are Action Coach, ADT Security Services, Inc., Amtrak, ARAMARK Uniform and Career, Capella University, CCDC Distributing, Community College of Philadelphia, DeVry University, Drexel University and the Drexel University College of Medicine, Eastern University, 1st Marine Corps District, Goodman Manufacturing Company, Liberty Resources, Lincoln College of Technology, Lourdes Health System, Lowe’s, Merendino Contracting, Inc., Military Sealift Command, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), New York Film Academy, New York Life, Pepco Holdings, Inc., the Philadelphia VA Medical Center of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Prudential, Sears – Franchise Businesses, the Social Security Administration’s Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (ODAR), The Dwyer Group, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), University of Pittsburgh, United States Army Recruiting Command, Wackenhut Corporation, and Waste Management.

RecruitMilitary (www2.recruitmilitary.com) will produce the Expo in cooperation with The American Legion, Purple Heart Services, and the Military Spouse Corporate Career Network (MSCCN).

The American Legion (http://www.legion.org) is an association of veterans who served during times of war. The Legion has 2.7 million members in nearly 15,000 posts throughout the world. Congress chartered the organization in 1919.

Purple Heart Services (http://www.purpleheartservices.com) provides programs and services to meet the needs of the combat-wounded and their families—including Purple Heart Radio, an online school called Veterans Vocational Technical Institute (VetTech), Purple Heart Call Center, and Purple Heart Tech Support. Purple Heart Services is a division of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation.

The Military Spouse Corporate Career Network (http://www.msccn.org) was founded in 2004 to provide career opportunities and job portability for military spouses. The organization is made up of military spouses, caregivers to war wounded, and retired military personnel.
