Synopsis: This information provides step by step instructions for creating the Windows 10 and Windows 11 God Mode folder, officially known as the Windows Master Control Panel, which consolidates the operating system's control panel items, administrative tools, accessibility options and management settings into a single desktop location. The article walks readers through the exact folder naming string required, lists administrator privilege requirements and outlines the wide range of settings made available once the shortcut is built. Because the resulting folder includes the full Ease of Access Center, Speech Recognition, Mouse, Keyboard and Sound configuration links in one place, the guide is particularly useful for seniors, people with disabilities and assistive technology users who benefit from reduced navigation and a more accessible way to reach essential Windows preferences.

Topic Definition: Windows God Mode

Windows God Mode is a hidden feature in Microsoft Windows, officially called the Windows Master Control Panel, that gathers hundreds of system configuration options, administrative tools and accessibility settings into a single folder on the desktop. It is created by making a new folder and renaming it with a specific Class Identifier (CLSID) string, after which the folder transforms into a shortcut icon containing categorized links to nearly every adjustable Windows preference. While the underlying settings are also reachable through the standard Control Panel and Settings app, God Mode offers a faster, more accessible way to locate and modify them from one consolidated view.

Introduction

What is Windows God Mode?

The official name for God Mode in Windows is "Windows Master Control Panel". God Mode in Windows gives you access to the operating system's control panels including convenient access to administrative tools, computer backup and restore options and other management settings from within one folder. Most of the items in "God Mode" can also be found in the Windows 10 control panel, but it is far easier - and certainly more accessible - to have all the options listed in just the one folder. Think of God Mode as your back-door to the Windows 10 Operating System (OS) providing easy access to all the settings.

How to Create God Mode in Microsoft Windows 10

Make sure your Microsoft system account has administrator privileges. In order to enable God Mode you must be have administrator rights on your Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer. If you don't have the necessary rights then you will not be able to enable this mode on your computer.

NOTE: Ensure you know what you're doing, and the outcome, before you adjust any settings as you can leave your computer in an inoperable state by using God Mode without being aware of the consequences.

  1. Right-click on a blank area on the Windows 10 or 11 desktop and select "Create a new folder" from the menu.
  2. Right-click the new folder and rename the folder: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} (You must name the folder exactly as shown, then press the enter or return key.
  3. The folder will then change into an icon similar to the windows control panel one you may already have on your desktop (see below image).

From now on just double click the newly created GodMode desktop icon to see the list of tools which includes the following selectable windows preferences:

Insights, Analysis, and Developments

Editorial Note: God Mode has quietly remained one of the most practical hidden features in modern Windows releases, surviving multiple major updates because it relies on a documented system identifier rather than a fragile registry tweak. For users who depend on assistive technology or simply prefer fewer clicks to reach a needed setting, consolidating accessibility controls, hardware configuration and troubleshooting tools into a single folder can meaningfully reduce friction with the operating system. As with any administrative shortcut, the value lies in knowing what each option does before changing it - used thoughtfully, the Master Control Panel turns a sprawling settings system into something far easier to navigate.
