Disability Care Center is an organization that helps disabled Americans apply and appeal for Social Security Disability benefits by providing information, resources, and customer service. Our mission is to assist the disabled community and we are now proud to offer 2 new annual scholarships for college students who have a disabling condition or are majoring in special education.

1st Scholarship Information

Name of the scholarship: The Disabled Student Scholarship

Deadline: August 1st, 2016

Scholarship Amount: $500

Description:

This scholarship program is for students who are suffering from a debilitating condition(s) while continuing their education at a college institution. The condition can be any medically diagnosed impairment (physical or mental) that interferes with everyday activities and quality of life.

To be eligible for this scholarship program, an applicant must meet the following requirements:

All applicants will be required to write a short essaybetween 500 and 1,500 words about the essay topic given below.

Essay topic: Describe an obstacle or hardship that arose due to your condition and how you were able to overcome it. Explain the impact it has had on your life and how it will influence you in the future.

Name of the scholarship: The Special Education Scholarship

Deadline: August 1st, 2016

Scholarship amount: $500

Description:

This scholarship program is for students who are majoring in special education. The applicant is required to have a major in special education and must be scheduled to take at least one major-required class in the upcoming fall semester.

To be eligible for this scholarship program, an applicant must meet the following requirements:

All applicants will be required to write a short essay between 500 and 1,500 words about the essay topic given below.

Essay topic: Explain why you are pursuing a degree in special education and how you plan to make a difference in the lives of the disabled.
