"What has been frustrating for me as a doctor, and I know for you as a patient, is that there is never enough time to ask questions and get the answers that you need and deserve. So think of this book as you read it, as our time together as doctor and patient, but in the comfort of your home."

Dr. Saralyn Mark is a world-renowned leader and pioneer in woman's health. An endocrinologist, geriatrician, and woman's health specialist, she was the first senior medical adviser to the Office on Women's Health within the Department of Health and Human Services and is a medical consultant for NASA.

She designed the first women's health fellowship in the U.S., helped create the National Centers of Leadership in Academic Medicine, the National Centers of Excellence in Women's Health, and landmark educational campaigns on critical health issues. Dr. Mark, a faculty member at Yale and other universities, has lectured around the world and is a frequent contributor to media outlets including CNN, Good Morning America Health, and the Washington Post.

As president of SolaMed Solutions, LLC, she continues to serve as a medical and scientific policy adviser to organizations and agencies dedicated to improving health for women and men around the globe and beyond.

Five Star Review - Maki Thomas Livesay

"A collection of chapters that takes you on a journey through life, travel, medicine, and experiences. Just like talking with a friend who happens to be an accomplished medical doctor. There is something for everyone to be able to relate to. Thank you so much for such a wonderful read! With the stresses of daily life (and who doesn't have them), ending on a note about tolerance and patience was exactly what I needed!"

"My daughter gave me this book to commemorate my retirement. Having been in good health, I seldom made close contact with doctors, except annual check-up...I was happily surprised finding Dr. Mark, a well-trained and highly respected physician, writing about women's health in a very friendly tone, her genuine warmth dotted with humor on various topics as if she was having conversation with us in a room. How could I refuse the book started with Hair Dye and the Killer Bra (Chapter Two)... Chapters cover sex/gender-based health, pandemics, medical myth to (female) veteran's health and medical issues while mixing stories of her own personal and professional experiences, all the while keeping the today's social and political environment in the background. The book made me aware of the importance of maintaining my good health in a more conscious way...I highly [sic] recommend Stellar Medicine to women of all ages and various backgrounds."

"I've given this book to friends and family, it's so good. In today's highly polarized climate about so many issues it is refreshing to read her unabashedly progressive stances on women's choices and lifestyles."
