7-128 Software has just published the winners of their Top Web Sites for Gamers who are Blind, Motion-impaired, or Deaf - 2011 competitions. They surveyed over 100 Web sites relevant to the accessible gaming community. Each entry notes what FREE and commercial games are offered, what game reviews, information and help are offered, what forums, blogs, and other community features are offered, how current that content is, and how popular that Web site is. The Web sites are ranked accordingly so you can quickly find the best of the best. This information is totally FREE. No registration is required. You can find it at

7-128 Software is dedicated to providing computer games that are entertaining, family friendly, affordable, and accessible to everyone.

They offer 9 commercial games and 5 free games that are playable by people who are blind. Most of the games are accessible to people with low vision and those who cannot easily use a keyboard or mouse.

Games include: the Inspector Cyndi in Newport series of interactive mysteries, Tyler puzzle games, and our Woople word games. All games are rated for accessibility.

The 14 BL (blind accessible) rated games work with JAWS 6, 7, and 8, and include free self-voicing. They also include F2-key Help, organized specifically for players who are blind. All games offer Big Type and High Contrast settings for visually impaired persons, and are compatible with Dragon Naturally Speaking voice input software. 7-128 Softwares

As developers of accessible games, we work to keep up with the latest information relevant to the accessible gaming community. For the first time this year, we have also published lists for Gamers who are Deaf and Gamers who are Motion-Impaired.

RSW Game - A homage to the classic text-based play-by-mail games of the 1970's, and although it includes an optional down-loadable client for modern-style graphical play, it can also be played in the traditional fashion with text reports only, on the web or via email. It will therefore require only a screen reader (or reliable speech-to-text converter) to play effectively.

The game is played between humans, in a slow-paced turn-based framework. This makes it ideal for people with a disability to compete on an equal footing with the normally abled.

Alter Aeon is a free multiplayer game with thousands of places to explore, quests to complete, and puzzles to solve.

There are always other players on-line, whether for help, competition, or just to talk with. The game is also blind-friendly for the visually impaired however it does require a screen reader to play. One unusual thing about the game that may make it more worthy of inclusion is that it is one of the few games where blind and sighted players can play in real time, side by side, on equal footing. for free down-loadable accessible games for children and adults.

The Zone BBS is an online community where you can meet new people, play games, and get away from the more stressful parts of life.

Chess - a universally accessible chess game, which can be played between two players, including people with disabilities (low-vision, blind and hand-motor impaired), either locally on the same computer, or remotely over the Internet. Access Invaders - a universally accessible version of the popular classic " Space Invaders" action game.

Jim Kitchen's free blind accessible speech friendly pc dos and windows games

SoundMind is a game much like MasterMind only it uses sounds rather than colored pegs. The game should be completely accessible to blind users with a screen-reader.

Windows computer games for the visually impaired, without breaking the bank. They also offer some free games.

Metris is a Musical Tetris game. It does not interfere with or depend upon any particular speech engines. It just assumes a screen reader is present.

MarvelSoft have pioneered the art of developing easy-to-use talking software which is completely narrated with pre-recorded human speech.
