The awareness ribbon color for childhood stroke is blue and purple. The month of May is Pediatric Stroke Awareness Month. May 5th is designated as National Childhood Stroke Awareness Day.
Children and teenagers can suffer from strokes. Although usually a condition in older adults, stroke affects approximately 26 out of every 100,000 newborns and nearly six out of every 100,000 children each year.
