Clemex will participate to AIHCE Conference in Denver, Colorado, May 22nd to 27th 2010 - The Corporation will introduce a new Image Analysis System specifically configured for Asbestos Fiber characterization.

Clemex Technologies inc, announces that it will exhibit at the AIHCE (American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Expo) to be held in Denver Colorado, May 22nd to 27th 2010.

Clemex adapted its flagship image analysis system, Vision PE, for Asbestos fiber characterization by developing a specific analysis method in conjunction with l'Institut de recherche Robert-Sauve en sante et securite du travail (IRSST) of the province of Quebec, Canada. Following the analysis method development, IRSST, who was desperately searching for an automated and repeatable analysis procedure for its fiber counting program quality control purchased a high end image analysis system from Clemex. The instrument is now used on a daily basis to evaluate various fiber samples, mainly Asbestos coming from several workplaces.

IRSST will also participate to the same Conference and will give a poster presentation describing the image analysis process performed by the Clemex instrument in their laboratory for the characterization of Asbestos fibers.

Mr. Clement Forget, President and CEO of Clemex declared: "We are extremely pleased to attend this Conference and very proud to introduce an automated solution for the counting and characterization of Asbestos fibers. Such a solution was long awaited from various stakeholders because it greatly eases the counting of such fibers, normally performed manually by laboratory technicians using a microscope. On the other hand, because of the nature of Asbestos fibers with their size are at the micron level and transparency makes it a very complicated and delicate task for an image analysis system to count them accurately. To our knowledge, Clemex is the only instrument manufacturer who has succeeded in accomplishing this application." He continued: "There is an interesting market potential for this difficult application in the United States and Canada where there are several Industrial and Research laboratories performing this type of analysis on a daily basis. We believe that this Conference will give us an excellent chance to introduce Clemex to this market and to generate interest for our products in a short and midterm time frame."

Clemex Technologies Inc. develops, manufactures and markets image analysis systems and software used by quality control and research microscopy laboratories. Clemex customer base spans over many countries in America, Europe, Asia and encompasses major Research and Development Centers, prestigious Universities and large manufacturing industries in various fields including Healthcare, Automotive, Aerospace, Raw Materials Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, Mining and other sectors.
