Accelify is one of the largest and fastest growing school-based Medicaid billing agents in the country, currently serving school districts in nine states with hundreds of thousands of special education students.

Accelify is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the State of Missouri to perform Medicaid billing and collection services on behalf of the State of Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) for Missouri Schools for the Severely Disabled, Missouri School for the Deaf, and Missouri School for the Blind. This contract was awarded as part of an RFP process initiated by the State of Missouri.

Accelify will manage the preparation and submission of school-based Medicaid claims to Missouri HealthNet. The state agency's Medicaid program currently generates significant revenue annually through claims for direct therapy services, school-based non-emergency medical transportation, and school district administrative claiming.

"We are confident that our expertise will significantly improve the overall efficiency and reimbursement potential of the state agency's Medicaid program," says Alex Brecher, Chief Operating Officer, Accelify. "In these difficult financial times, it is essential that schools access every available revenue source. We are thrilled to be able to help the state agency to manage and maximize its Medicaid claiming process. The reimbursement revenue should have a direct impact on the quality of education that Missouri's special education students receive."

The state agency's schools serve Missouri students with severe disabilities. The schools are administered by the State Board of Education, through the Division of Special Education. The Medicaid billing and collection program will be managed from Accelify's Kansas City office, led by Accelify's Missouri State Coordinator, Linda Kirkpatrick.
