Diversity Standards for Veteran and Disability Friendly Employers

As the United States anticipates the return of its troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, the longest war in the history of the United States, diversity awareness and sensitivity towards issues that can impact the Veteran's transition into the workforce has become a business imperative.

US Navy veteran and author Edward Crenshaw has developed "The P.E.R.C.E.V.D Principles: Preparing Employers to Reintegrate Combat Exposed Veterans with Disabilities," a dynamic new book that presents best practice methodologies for achieving diversity awareness and understanding towards issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), military sexual trauma (MST) and other challenges facing some returning veterans and people with disabilities.

The book serves as a strategic, diversity road map for eliminating disruptive stigma and creating accommodating, conducive and flexible professional and social environments.
