LabArchives(R) the leading electronic laboratory notebook (ELN), today announced compliance with major accessibility standards. LabArchives products are in use by more than than 100,000 scientists and science students users to store, organize, share, and publish their laboratory data.

LabArchives Professional and Classroom editions have been enhanced to comply with the following Web accessibility standards and regulations:

In addition to the specific accessibility standards above, the LabArchives platform is built to support a wide range of browsers and devices in use by researchers. In particular,LabArchives has utilized features of HTML5 and WIA-ARIA to provide additional support for LabArchives users of assistive technology.

WAI-ARIA (Web Accessibility Initiative - Accessible Rich Internet Applications Suite) defines a way to make Web content and Web applications more accessible to people with disabilities. The result is LabArchives is the only widely distributed ELN with accessibility enabled capabilities.
