BIC Canada supports breast cancer research
In 2009, BIC Inc. launched a year-long partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society. The partnership features four distinct in-store campaigns, with a total contribution of $75,000 towards Society-funded cancer research. From September to December, BIC will donate $40,000 to the Society in support of breast cancer research from the sale of limited edition BIC Luminere Candle Lighters and Sheaffer's specially designed "Gift Collection." Help make cancer history with the Canadian Cancer Society MasterCard
You can help make cancer history everyday with the Canadian Cancer Society MasterCard, provided by Chase Canada. For each card that is activated, the Canadian Cancer Society will receive a $10 activation donation from Chase. In addition, one percent of all purchases made on the card will be donated to the Society to support the fight against cancer. Curves encourages a "Girls Get Together"
Curves, the first fitness and weight loss facility dedicated to providing affordable, one-stop exercise and nutritional information for women, is once again supporting the Canadian Cancer Society in the fight against breast cancer. Throughout October 2009, participating Curves locations will run various fundraising activities and donation drives, encouraging their members to raise funds for vital breast cancer research. Energizer is "Inspired to Keep Going"
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Energizer Canada will make a $40,000 donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in support of breast cancer research. As part of this campaign, Energizer will include a special pink ribbon pin in limited edition packs of batteries, available at leading retailers across Canada. Energizer will also provide customers with the Society's breast cancer prevention information on special product displays throughout the campaign. This October, the Canadian Cancer Society is pleased to launch a new partnership with JACOB, a leading Canadian retailer of women's fashions. Lady Precept, a quality brand of golf balls designed for women, has joined the Canadian Cancer Society as a new corporate partner in the fight against breast cancer. For the fifth consecutive year, Procter & Gamble (P&G), Canada's leading consumer products company, will honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month with its "Caring is Natural" campaign. Royal Canadian Golf Association encourages women to "Golf Fore the Cure"
The Canadian Cancer Society is honored to be the charity of choice for the Royal Canadian Golf Association's (RCGA) "Golf Fore the Cure" series of events - the signature charity event of their Women's Division. This program raises funds for the fight against breast cancer while promoting women's participation in the game of golf. Throughout the summer months, women across the country participated in "Golf Fore the Cure" events, raising funds in support of breast cancer research and local support programs. The Canadian Cancer Society is pleased to welcome Sico as a new corporate partner in support of the fight against breast cancer. Beginning in September 2009, Sico launched the "Changing Lives, One Coat at a Time" campaign. On October 27, 2009, Universal Music Canada will launch a compilation CD, entitled "Girls Night In," to help raise funds and awareness in support of women's cancers across Canada. Universal Music Canada will donate $1 from every album (physical and digital) sold to the Canadian Cancer Society to support research into women's cancers. This exciting CD will feature a wide variety of music from Canadian artists such as Jann Arden, Jully Black and Bif Naked, as well as international singers such as Lady Gaga, Duffy, Pussycat Dolls and Natasha Bedingfield. Walmart Canada helps shoppers make a difference
Walmart Canada vendors will once again join the Canadian Cancer Society by raising funds and awareness in support of the fight against breast cancer in October.
