Synopsis: The KIA Integrity Advantage Program allows customers to return financed or leased vehicles within first year of ownership in event of unforeseen life circumstances.

Introduction

The KIA Integrity Advantage Program is offered free of charge and allows customers to return their financed or leased vehicles within the first year of ownership in the event of certain unforeseen life circumstances. The Program will cancel up to $7,500 in vehicle-related debt; specifically the difference owed between the financial institution and the depreciated value of the car.

In a period of economic uncertainty KIA Canada made the bold move to launch an all new vehicle return program called the KIA Integrity Advantage.

The Program utilizes key components pioneered by the leader in vehicle return products, WALKAWAY Canada Incorporated, and is underwritten by Echelon General Insurance Company, a service leader in the insurance industry.

Maria Soklis, Senior Director of Operations at Kia Canada said, "This program will inevitably strike a strong chord with our customers in these uncertain times and we're excited to have the pioneers of this program supporting our dealers."

The KIA Integrity Advantage Program is offered free of charge, compliments of KIA Canada, to all customers financing or leasing a new KIA vehicle from an authorized KIA dealer. The Program allows customers to return their financed or leased vehicles within the first year of ownership in the event of certain unforeseen life circumstances. The Program will cancel up to $7,500 in vehicle-related debt; specifically the difference owed between the financial institution and the depreciated value of the car. The list of insurable life circumstances includes the following and will vary by province:

Involuntary Job Loss

Physical Disability - Unable to Work

Critical Illness - Living Benefit

Death due to Critical Illness

Bankruptcy of Self-Employment

Loss of Driver's License due to illness or impairment preventing driving

International Job Transfer

The Program offers up to $7,500 in credit protection for consumers who experience one of the above events during the first 12 months of their lease or financing upon providing proof of claim as evidenced in the terms and conditions of The Program policy of the insurer. You will also have to return your vehicle when advised to your Kia dealer. Fees for excessive use, excess kilometers (in excess of 120% prorated) specifically for lease contracts, and under both lease and loan; un-repaired insured damages, undesirable modifications and similar fees are excluded from The Program. The Program is open to all individuals who qualify for financing at your participating KIA Dealership, limitations apply - consult the program policy details for complete information.
