Synopsis: Embracing Neurodiversity is an eight-lesson online course providing training to anyone who knows someone who is neurodiverse. Neurodiversity course offers training for teachers, counselors, support workers, charity workers, teaching assistants, trainers, HR professionals, managers, parents, and anyone who knows someone who is neurodiverse.
Introduction
New neurodiversity online course by ACS Distance Education. We are all different! Embracing that difference is an important aspect of neurodiversity. Neurodiversity is the idea that people interact with, and experience, the world in different ways.
Focus
Neurodiversity is a new online course - offerings valuable training for teachers, counselors, support workers, charity workers, teaching assistants, trainers, HR professionals, managers, parents, and anyone who knows someone who is neurodiverse.
The course has eight lessons covering:
- Neurodiversity in Childhood
- Neurodiversity in Adulthood
- Neurodiversity in Education
- Neurodiversity in Adolescence
- Neurodiversity in the Workplace
- Neurodiversity and Relationships
- Scope and Nature of Neurodiversity
- Counselling Neurodiverse Individuals
This course requires around 100 hours of study. It can be studied at the student's own pace and at a time and location to suit them.
At the end of each lesson, there is an assignment to submit to the tutor for marking and feedback. The student can also contact their tutor with any questions throughout the course. This course will help you develop understanding and enhance the way you communicate with someone who is neurodiverse.
