Introduction
What is a Printable?
A printable is defined as a graphic design, image or text that is designed to be downloaded for reference purposes or used in print format. Examples of items found on Disabled World that can be printed include graphs, charts, data tables, fact-sheets, infographics, PDF files, and more.
Main Document
To print a document, picture, web page or another file from the Disabled World website using your printer, follow the instructions below.
To Print a Complete Web Page
1 - Have the web page you wish to print open in your browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari etc.)
2 - Click Menu, if you are using Google Chrome, this will be represented by three small vertical dots in the top right-hand corner of your browser. If using Internet Explorer, it will appear as a small gear, also located at the top right.
3 - Once the menu drops, select "Print" and follow your printers' dialog pop-up box for printer preferences, e.g., color, black and white, landscape or portrait orientation. The "Print Preview" option will allow you to see what your page will look like before you print it out.
To Print Only Part of a Web Page
1 - To print only part of a web page, simply select the part you want by using your mouse.
2 - Press Ctrl+P, then from the Print dialog box, choose "Selection".
3 - Click the "Print" button to print only the selected portion of the web page.
To Print a Picture or Image
You can print an image on a web page by right-clicking on the image and choosing "Print Picture" from the shortcut menu. In some cases if the "print" option is not available you will need to select "Save Image" from the same shortcut menu which will save the item to your download folder from where you will need to right-click the image and select "print" from the right click menu again. This method is handy when you only wish to print the image and not the whole web page.
