Synopsis: RTC launches myRTCpara to manage paratransit rides efficiently by allowing paratransit riders and caretakers to book, cancel, and manage rides online. The RTC is the transit authority, designated metropolitan planning organization, regional traffic management agency and administrator of the Southern Nevada Strong comprehensive regional plan for the Las Vegas valley.

Introduction

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) launched a web-based tool to enhance the online trip management process for paratransit certified customers and caretakers.

Main Content

The myRTCpara website can book new trips, check and cancel existing reservations, track vehicles, access estimated pick-up times and additional services.

"The launch of myRTCpara is another way we are improving access, convenience and equity for one of the most vulnerable populations we serve," said MJ Maynard, RTC CEO. "We encourage our paratransit customers and their caretakers to take advantage of this new tool that allows them to access and manage trip information in real time."

While this service is currently available on web browsers via computer, tablet and smart phone, the RTC is currently developing a myRTCpara mobile app set to launch by fall 2021.
